My first impression:

Looks like another attack/ critique on Mr. Foucault, it breaks my heart ;_;

Alright, on a more serious tone, I think this book mainly focus on the problem of dualism of the "thing" and the "form" - such as the word versus the actual object that it refers to; such as the self that is the body and the self that is the "soul" ... which, according to MF, the body is the materialisation of the soul, and the soul is the effect and instrument of power of our society. Which is similar to Aristotol's "stamp and wax" argument: The soul is the stamp that gives the wax (that is the body) its shape and form. But don't count on it, I am ESL and I am clueless on half of the volcabularies in this book.
